Manage your Instagram data stored in Tagly
1. Disconnect Instagram
You can disconnect Instagram straight from the Tagly app.
- Open the Tagly app.
- Open Settings, then Instagram.
- Tap Disconnect account.
- Confirm disconnecting Instagram.
Disconnecting deletes:
- The Instagram profile information we store (username, profile picture, account type)
- Your audience snapshots, including follower locations and demographics
- Your Instagram access token, so Tagly can no longer read anything from your account
Shares that have not yet been paid out will not be paid. Stories that were already paid for, and the copies of them we stored, stay until you delete your Tagly account or delete your Instagram data (step 3). You can reconnect Instagram again at any time.
3. Delete Instagram data
A deletion request removes everything we derived from your Instagram account, not just the connection.
- Open the Instagram app.
- Open Settings, then Apps and websites.
- Find Tagly under your active apps.
- Tap Remove and choose to also delete your data.
If your menu looks different, Instagram explains where the setting lives in its own help article: Manage the privacy settings for apps and websites on Instagram. And if you still can't find the setting, message us at support@taglyapp.com and we'll help you through it.
Instagram data deletion deletes:
- The stored copies of the media from your stories
- Story insights (reach, views, replies, profile visits, follows, reshares)
- Your audience snapshots, including follower locations and demographics
- Your Instagram access token
- The Instagram profile information we store (username, profile picture, account type)
- The link between your shares and your Instagram account
This does not delete your Tagly account. Shares that have not been paid out yet are cancelled and will not be paid, and you cannot earn from new stories until you connect Instagram again.
